Ms Aleena, 35, was found with “serious head injuries” on Cranbrook Street around 2.45am. on Sunday and died later that morning at the hospital. Weapons are not considered to have been used. Jordan McSweeney, 29, has also been charged with attempted rape and robbery, Metropolitan Police said. He will appear in custody later today in the Thames Magistrate’s Court. In a lengthy statement released through the Met Police, Ms Aleena’s family said she was a “pure heart” with “bright eyes” and “glorious laughter”. He says: “Zara, 35, a loved one, a child, a niece, a cousin, a granddaughter, a friend to all, was fine for all of us. “She was caring for her mother and grandmother. Caring for others came so naturally to her. “Zara was friendly, she was everyone’s friend. She was everyone’s daughter, everyone’s niece, everyone’s sister, everyone’s cousin. She was a pure heart.” They describe what the “rock” of their family was like and she was ready to make her own family. He concludes: “Our loss is irreparable and the void feels insurmountable, but the warmth and kindness shown by our community is a testament to the strength of Zara’s spirit. Her life has been stolen from us. It has been stolen from us all.” The family said Ms. Aleena was on a two-year placement in the Crown Prosecution Service to become a lawyer. Westminster University said Ms. Aleena was a law graduate who earned a master’s degree in law last year. A spokeswoman said: “We are shocked and deeply saddened by the news that Zara Aleena, a former law student and graduate, has died in such a tragic way. Our thoughts are with Zara’s family and loved ones on this horrific day. dot.” On Tuesday, Ms. Aleena’s best friend, Lisa Hodgson, said she was shocked and angry at her death and revealed the latest messages she had received from her.
