The Mi Band 7 Pro bears some resemblance to the Redmi Smart Band Pro, but with a larger 1.64-inch AMOLED always-on display (326 PPI) compared to the 1.47-inch display. There’s also a premium metal body here and the combination of that and the large screen definitely make it look almost like a full-featured smartwatch. ANDROIDPOLICE VIDEO OF THE DAY Expectedly, the new wearable shares some of its functionality with the smaller Mi Band 7, including the ability to monitor/track blood oxygen, sleep, heart rate, etc. (via XDA). Xiaomi says the Mi Band 7 Pro offers over 180 watch faces out of the box and can track 117 sports modes, covering outdoor and indoor activities. As we’ve heard it sounds like, GPS is now built in and 5ATM water resistance means it can survive a bit of swimming, provided you don’t go deeper than 50 meters underwater. The Mi Band 7 Pro is said to last up to 12 days on a single charge, thanks to its 235mAh battery. NFC support is also included, enabling contactless payments where supported. Features like camera control, smart notifications and lost phone detection round out the wearable’s feature set. We’ve already seen the Mi Band 7 Pro in two colorways based on a leak last week — Graphite/Black and Rose Gold/White. Now we also come across six silicone straps in colors like Vitality Orange, Resting White, Joy Live Pink, Meditation Green, Night Leap Black and Stretch Blue. These replacement straps will sell for CNY 39 each, or just under $6, while Xiaomi will also offer limited-edition bands in Monet Gray and Van Gogh Green, costing CNY 59 (~$9), each, according to with Android Authority. The Mi Band 7 Pro was officially launched in China today, priced at just CNY 399 (about $60). Given the combination of smartwatch-like hardware and an affordable price, the Mi Band 7 Pro has the potential to make some inroads into the lucrative fitness tracker market. Xiaomi has yet to give concrete details on global availability or pricing, but we expect that information to follow soon.
