Men’s Money in the Bank Match — Drew McIntyre vs. Seth Rollins vs. Riddle vs. Sami Zayn vs. Madcap Moss vs. Sheamus vs. Omos vs. Theory: Theory was a late addition to the match announced by the authority Adam Pearce. It was teased during the match that Vince McMahon gave Theory the spot after losing the United States Title to Bobby Lashley earlier in the night. Zayn took some serious abuse early on as Moss tossed him and slammed him into various ladders. Riddle was mad the whole time. A highlight of the match saw the ultimate bro land a Floating Bro off a ladder onto his opponents. Omos briefly outran the competition, but his size eventually got the better of him. The rest of the stadium joined in, lifting him up and carrying him through the announcer’s table. McIntyre was on his way to get the briefcase but was interrupted by Butch. Riddle took Rollins out of the equation with a Super RKO off the ladders. The win was almost his, but Theory swooped in at the last minute and grabbed the briefcase. The contestants put their bodies on the lines with a series of big spots. It was a chaotic match with several credible contenders. It probably won’t go down as the best Money in the Bank match, but it was a lot of fun. Theory of def. Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Riddle, Sami Zayn, Madcap Moss, Sheamus and Omos to win the Men’s Money in the Bank briefcase. Grade: B+ SmackDown Women’s Championship — Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Liv Morgan: Morgan didn’t wait long to cash in her Money in the Bank briefcase. Rousey limps noticeably during and after her successful title defense against Natalya. The crowd erupted as Morgan’s music hit and the ringside announcer confirmed that she was cashing in her briefcase. Rousey grabbed an extended ankle lock that had fans wondering if WWE was going to spoil Morgan’s big moment. Morgan finally countered with a class he picked up for the three. The crowd roared with delight as Morgan’s highlight reel came to fruition. The roll-up execution was messy, but who cares? This was a good time. sometimes that’s all there is to professional wrestling. The Las Vegas crowd chanted “you deserve it” as Morgan held up her world title. Liv Morgan def. Ronda Rousey (c) to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion. Grade A SmackDown Women’s Championship — Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Natalya: Money in the Bank (scheduled) penultimate match was a mixed bag. Moments of unusual behavior — like when Rousey and Natalya traded finishers — were well received. The chain wrestling exchanges went pretty well, but there were some glaring issues with the match. Natalya’s impressive offense had little bite and Rousey oversold on a few occasions. Most notably, Rousey was tossed out of the ring with little input from Natalya. The submission exchange at the end was a nice touch with Rousey finally securing her trademark armbar. Ronda Rousey (c) def. Natalya via submission to retain her title. Grade: C+ WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championships — The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) vs. The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford): Ford is generally seen as the A-side of the Street Profits, but Dawkins really shined in this match . His front dive to the outside was amazing and his 360 enziguri kick was insane for a man his size. The match was flowing with charisma. Ford repeatedly telling The Usos to “suck it” off the top rope drew a massive backlash from the fans. Jimmy and Jay were at their tough, boastful best. Both teams hit hard, incredibly hard. The mid-match rest period took too long, but the drama and intensity of the match’s full-backs fully made up for it. The live crowd was hot for both teams’ near falls. Ford – as he often does – stole the show by landing a front dive over the corner post to the outside. The Usos secured their titles after knocking Dawkins out and planting Ford with the 1-D. It was revealed after the match that Ford’s shoulder was actually off the mat, casting doubt on the outcome and setting up a rematch on the line. The Usos (c) def. Street Profits via pinfall to retain the undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships. Grade A Raw Women’s Championship — Bianca Belair (c) vs. Carmella: Belair and Carmella had a short but solid match. Both women landed a lot of offense and the entire match was clean. Belair showed off her athleticism with powerbombs and backflips. Carmella had no problem drawing boos from the crowd. Carmella’s post-match attack on Belair felt unnecessary, but it wasn’t needed or added to the match. Bianca Belair (c) def. Carmella via pinfall to retain the Raw Women’s Championship. Grade: B United States Championship — Theory (c) vs. Bobby Lashley: The crowd was firmly in Lashley’s corner, erupting in countless “Lashley” chants. Theory excelled as his usual sweet antics from the audience. Lashley’s strengths included an impressive military press catch and catching Theory diving to the outside. The Theory’s movement was fluid and its hits looked very crisp. Theory eventually fell victim to Lashey’s hurt lock and was forced into submission. A good match from both participants. Bobby Lashley def. Austin Theory (c) via submission to win the US Championship. Grade: B Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match — Alexa Bliss vs. Becky Lynch vs. Asuka vs. Liv Morgan vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Lacey Evans vs. Shotzi: The match suffered from several flashy spots, from an early exchange between Asuka and Lynch to a sketchy squat spot with Rodriguez. Lynch’s dive off the ladder and Morgan’s bounce off the top rope to win the match helped even things out. Morgan threw Lynch off the ladder and took the briefcase. The live crowd went bananas for Morgan’s win. The right woman won outright and it appeared that WWE was ready to pull the trigger on Morgan as world champion. Liv Morgan def. Becky Lynch, Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Raquel Rodriguez, Lacey Evans and Shotzi to win the Women’s Money in the Bank briefcase. Grade: B
