A worker in Chile has resigned and has not been found after his job accidentally paid him around 330 times his salary due to a payroll error, according to reports. The worker, a shipping assistant at sausage maker Consorcio Industrial de Alimentos, received a salary of 165,398,851 Chilean pesos, or $180,418, for the month of May. Only about 500,000 Chilean pesos, or $545, was supposed to be paid. The worker initially notified his manager of the massive overpayment, according to local media outlet Diario Financiero. The manager would then report the issue to human resources, who asked the employee to go to their bank and return the extra money.
