The former Spice Girls member shared that her daughter Harper Beckham, 10, isn’t on any social media platforms right now, but the thought worries her. “Harper’s not on social media, so we don’t have to worry about that yet,” she explained in a July 3 interview with Vogue Australia. “But seeing how cruel people can be, yeah, it really does [concern me].” Reflecting on how current body-shaming is in the online world, Victoria noted that when crossing that bridge, communication is key. “She’s at that age where her body will start to change, but it’s about making sure we communicate a lot as a family and she’s surrounded by good friends,” he shared. “But it’s pretty scary, I can’t lie.” So Harper doesn’t spend her time writing an Instagram caption, but better yet — she’s been known to write sweet letters to her parents. In February 2021, Victoria posted to her Instagram Story a note written by Harper before bed. Victoria and David Beckham’s sweetest family moments “Dear Mom, I love you so much and you are my best friend,” Harper wrote. “I love it when we always do makeup together you are my heart and I love you Sleep well sweet dreams Love Harper.” But Harper’s words didn’t stop there. The then 9-year-old also wrote a note to her dad, David Beckham, on a yellow marker card. Instagram “Dear Dad, I hope you have a great night’s sleep and the best friends,” the letter read. “You worked so hard at work today and I’m so proud to love you so much. Sleep well”. And while the world of social media may be a few years away, it looks like Harper won’t have any trouble writing a post when that day arrives.
