The former president took to the Truth Social early Sunday morning to once again fend off Mrs. Hutchinson’s damning testimony against the president. During the most recent select committee hearing on January 6, Ms Hutchinson, who served as a top aide to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, revealed a series of bombshells about the Trump team’s conduct on the day of the rebellion in the Capitol. The startling revelations from Ms Hutchinson included: Mr Trump grabbed the steering wheel of his presidential limousine in an attempt to go to Capitol Hill to join supporters. Mr Trump’s chief of staff warned that things could get “really, really bad” on January 6. Mr. Trump threw his lunch at the wall when his then-Attorney General, Bill Barr, shot down allegations of massive voter fraud in the 2020 election, and members of Mr. Trump’s inner circle called for a pardon after the violence. On Sunday, Trump claimed that Hutchinson wanted to continue working for him after the rebellion on Capitol Hill. “So Cassidy Hutchinson was ready and willing to go to Florida with Team Trump long after January 6th. He knew I did nothing wrong. She was a big Trump fan – but my folks didn’t want her. What happened? Why did it change so dramatically? All lies. I guess she didn’t believe her bull either…!”.
