A Pennsylvania teenager accused of fatally stabbing her older brother with a kitchen knife told a police officer, “I did Michael Myers, my sister,” shortly after the horrific murder, according to a Pennsylvania court hearing. Claire Miller, now 16, was 14 when prosecutors in Lancaster County said she repeatedly stabbed her sister, Helen, in the neck while their parents were asleep. Ellen, who had cerebral palsy, was found with a pillow on her face and a knife still around her neck when police arrived after a hysterical phone call from Claire, court documents show. The February 2021 murder is now at the heart of a hearing to decide whether the teenager will face a homicide trial in an adult court or be allowed to move to a juvenile court, which would allow her to recover. (Pennsylvania law requires that all homicide proceedings go through adult courts, regardless of the age of the accused, and then it is up to the defense attorneys to apply for a transition to the juvenile justice system.) A teenager is accused of killing a disabled sister while her parents were sleeping As the teen’s lawyer, Robert Beyer, testified this week from psychiatrists who said Claire suffered from auditory hallucinations and was in a state of psychosis at the time of the murder, a Manheim Township police officer testified Tuesday that she showed no signs of anxiety while attended the detention of minors. John Martin told the court that Claire Miller reacted happily when police brought her fast food, telling her: “Oh, McDonald’s. “I would have killed someone earlier if I had known I was going to get McDonald’s.” She also said she spoke of her love for horror movies after hearing an alert on his phone playing the theme song from the 1978 Halloween movie slasher. “I did Michael Myers my sister,” he said, according to Martin. The psychiatrists called by the defense testified that their client was suffering from a major depressive disorder, anxiety and psychosis when he allegedly stabbed her sister to death. The story goes on Susan Racing told the court that the then 14-year-old believed she had stabbed something in her delusion when she was taken out seeing blood gushing from her sister’s throat. Ellen Miller was stabbed seven times — twice in the chest, twice in the jaw and three times in the neck, according to a testimony given by WGAL this week from a physician at the doctor’s office. According to the local news agency WGAL, Claire Miller asked to be released from the courtroom when the details of Ellen’s injuries were announced. Marie Miller, the mother of Ellen and Claire, asked the court on Monday to help her daughter and not punish her. “We love them both. I know Claire did not want to do that. We lost Eleni and we do not want to lose Claire either. We do not want her to be punished, not to be helped and to be away for a long time for something that was out of her control. “We can not lose it either,” he said, according to WGAL.
