Via Craig Pardy Bonavista on Facebook Opposition fisheries critic Craig Pardy wants to see the federal government’s cod recovery plan 30 years after the cod moratorium was first announced. Three decades later and cod stocks have yet to recover to the point where commercial cod fishing can resume across the province. Pardee says the province and country are still no further along on an action plan to develop cod stocks. He says it’s fine for the federal minister to acknowledge that seals eat fish, but he’d like to see a plan to tackle seal predation and a cod rebuilding and recovery plan.
