RCMP confirm a man has been taken into custody following an incident at Halfway Point on Wednesday night. Police initially advised of an increased police presence in the area shortly after 6:30 p.m At the time they said there was no risk to public safety, but asked residents to avoid the area. Police say the man will appear in court today to answer a number of charges. More details about what happened are expected to be released soon.
