Dorset police received a report at 6.03 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, about the sudden death of a woman in Thornford’s Giffle Woo. The police officers were present, with the ambulance service, and the bodies of a man and a woman – both 70 years old – were found inside the property. An investigation is under way – led by a detective from the Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) – to determine the full circumstances of both deaths. The man’s family was informed. Investigations are continuing to find the woman’s next relative. The man and the woman knew each other. The medical examiner was also notified.
