Following a personal request from Hugh Grant on Twitter, Brexit protester Steve Bray (@snb19692) played ‘The Benny Hill Show’ theme song, known as ‘Yakety Sax’, outside Downing Street. “Morning @snb19692,” Grant, who played the UK prime minister in the movie “Love Actually,” wrote Thursday morning. “I’m glad you got your speakers back. Do you happen to have Benny Hill’s music on?” Bray, who is known in London for his music-based protests amid Brexit, set up loudspeakers outside Westminster and honored Grant’s request in full force. Loud music can even be heard in the background of live news broadcasts as reporters relay the latest developments on Johnson’s resignation. Johnson resigned as leader of the Conservative Party on Thursday but said he would remain prime minister until the party chooses his successor.
