One of the boys grabbed the leash and dragged the dog over the rocks, the release said. Sunshine Coast RCMP are seeking information after two boys injured a small dog while walking with its owner in Davis Bay. At approximately 8 a.m. on July 2, two boys approached a woman while she was walking her dog on the beach, an RCMP news release said. One of the boys grabbed the leash and dragged the dog over the rocks, the release said. “The small dog was crying as it was forcibly pulled from its leash while the boys laughed. The boys then dropped the dog and their leash on the rocks and fled the area toward Wilson Creek,” the statement said. “There was no interaction between the dog’s owner and the boys prior to this incident.” The dog was treated for injuries to its stomach, legs and feet. The press release describes a boy about 16 years old, with short dark hair, a hat, a red sweatshirt and black shorts.
