An earthquake occurred off the coast of Vancouver Island on Friday night. The 4.8-magnitude earthquake hit Vancouver Island at 7:50 p.m. at a depth of about 32 kilometers, according to Earthquakes Canada. The location of the earthquake is 34 km NW of Tofino. The earthquake was slightly felt across the island and there are currently no reports of damage. As of Friday night, 78 people reported feeling the quake on Earthquakes Canada.
