Charlie Elphicke was found guilty of three counts of sexually assaulting two women less than a year after resigning as a Dover Conservative MP. Elphicke had denied all three charges, two of which concerned a parliamentary official. He was later sentenced to two years in prison. His wife, Natalie Elphicke, succeeded him as a Dover MP in December 2019.

Rob Roberts, Delyn’s Conservative MP in North Wales, was found by an independent parliamentary panel to have made “significant” repeated unwanted sexual assaults on a former staff member, as well as inappropriate sexual comments. He was suspended for 12 weeks by the Conservatives, but was allowed to rejoin the party in October 2021.

Johnson “unconsciously” started a 2 112,000 renovation of his official Downing Street apartment without knowing how to get paid, according to a report by ethics consultant Christopher Geidt. However, it later emerged that Geidt had not been given critical text messages between Johnson and conservative donor David Brownlow, apologizing to the prime minister.

The resignation is a huge blow to the power of Johnson, who stood by Hancock when the story broke 24 hours earlier.

Johnson is being reprimanded by Parliament’s Standards Committee for failing to “prove the full facts” about free holidays at a luxury villa in Mustique. The accommodation was organized by David Ross, the donor of the Tories and co-founder of Carphone Warehouse, after Johnson “sought and was offered” the use of Ross’ villa, according to the report.

Former Tories Secretary Owen Patterson has been found by Parliament’s Standards Oversight Service to have committed a “blatant” breach of lobbying rules. Patterson has repeatedly pressured the government on behalf of two companies that paid him more than 100 100,000 a year, the guard said. The lawmaker, who has maintained his innocence, resigns as Conservative spokesman for North Shropshire in November 2021. The latter election is won by the Liberal Democrats on December 16, 2021. Former Conservative minister Andrew Griffiths has been found by a Supreme Court judge to have raped his wife and placed her under duress. Griffiths, who denied the allegations, had resigned as an MP in November 2019 after a series of allegations about his behavior. His wife, Kate Griffiths, who left him when the initial stories broke, succeeds him as a Burton MP in Staffordshire.

An anonymous Conservative MP has been arrested on suspicion of rape and other sexual offenses. The MP, who has not been made public, is ordered to stay away from Westminster while under investigation by the Metropolitan Police. It remains under warranty from July 1.

Chris Pinscher, the Conservatives’ deputy leader, has resigned after admitting he had “shamed myself and other people” after reports that he had caressed two drunken men in a private club. This is the second time that Pinscher has resigned from the office of the whip, after he previously resigned in 2017 after it was reported that he made an unwanted pass to a Tories activist.
