The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton paid a moving tribute to Deborah James, who died at the age of 40. In his official Twitter message, the royal couple wrote on Twitter: “We are so sad to hear the sad news about Dame Deborah. “Our thoughts are with her children, her family and her loved ones.” They added: “Deborah was an inspired and steadfastly brave woman whose legacy will live on. TOILET.” The family of podcast presenter and cancer activist Deborah announced on Wednesday that she had died “peacefully… surrounded by her family”. In May, one day after Queen Elizabeth approved of Deborah James’s patronage, Prince William visited her and handed over the medal. Through Twitter, Deborah had shared many photos with Duke and wrote: “The moment @KensingtonRoyal came for tea to give me my Damehood! Surreal.” The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also praised her on Twitter a few days before the Queen approved of Damehood.
