Prince Charles met his two youngest grandchildren earlier this month when their parents, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, visited the United Kingdom for a brief visit. The heir to the throne and the Duchess of Cornwall were “excited” to see Prince Harry and Megan and their children traveling from California to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, according to a royal source. Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, also known as Lili, had her first birthday during her stay and also met her great-aunt’s queen for the first time. Harry, who resigned as a senior member of the royal family in 2020, had a troubled relationship with his father, telling American TV presenter Oprah Winfrey how frustrated he was and how Charles stopped accepting his calls at one stage. But a senior royal source said it was “wonderful” to have the family back in the UK. “It was fantastic to see them.
