Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that currently has County Rd 2 at Shelter Valley Rd closed for investigation. On Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 12:18 p.m., Northumberland OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision that occurred on County Rd 2 and Shelter Valley Rd in Alnwick Haldimand. A car and an e-bike were involved in the collision. As a result of the collision, the driver of the electric bike was taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead. County Rd 2 and Shelter Valley Rd will be closed for several hours while OPP Technical Collision investigators conduct their investigation.
