One Was Taken Into Custody After Saanich Police Called For An Incident Near A Bank Exchange.

Police were called to Richmond Road and Pear Street on Thursday afternoon after they received a report of a suspect holding a long gun in a carrying case. Police say it has nothing to do with Tuesday’s shooting at the Bank of Montreal on Shelbourne Street, just below the road. Many witnesses told CHEK News that they saw police officers in the neighborhood with guns. However, due to great care due to the recent shootings, the police responded with several officers. For the past hour or so, there has been a heavy police presence near Mount Tolmie and Richmond Street. More are coming.
