One person has died after a tragic drowning at Rotary Sunshine Park on Friday afternoon. Shortly before 5:00 PM on Canada Day, the St. John’s was called to the park off Thorburn Road as a swimmer was seen struggling in the water and had fallen under. Emergency crews rushed to the scene but were unable to save the swimmer. Details of the swimmer’s identity have not been released.
