“For the last four days, I do not remember much,” Bairam told reporters at Civic Center Park on Thursday, according to The Athletic. It sounds unfortunate that the 21-year-old blueliner may not remember his entire first Stanley Cup parade, but it may be a blessing in disguise to see Byram in a difficult situation. Bowen Byram found himself in a difficult situation in Thursday’s Stanley Cup parade. (Screenshot via @ droule13 / Twitter) Bairam left the truck to take pictures with fans, sign autographs and share some drinks. As he was trying to get back close to the trucks to reunite with his teammates, he was stopped by a police officer who confused him with a regular fan who was trying to get too close to the players. The policeman gently pushed Byram back into the crowd, trying to chase him out of his own Stanley Cup parade. Despite his drunken condition, Bairam finally managed to explain to the officer that he was a member of the team and they allowed him to return to the truck. This was not the only humorous moment in which Bairam participated during the Stanley Cup parade. When the team arrived at Civic Center Park for the big party, Byram accidentally walked out into the crowd after the announcer shouted teammate Erik Johnson’s name during the introduction of the players. The young defender took it with him and he will probably not remember even at this moment… Byram deserves to leave after a season in which he struggled with injury adversity, losing almost three months of action. He returned to the starting line-up on April 5, then scored eight points in the postseason, including an assist in the first goal of the last game on Sunday, giving a pass to teammate Nathan McKinnon.
