A 50-year-old New Brunswick woman is facing driving issues after a head-on collision with an RCMP vehicle in the village of Tracadie. Mounties say the crash happened on June 29 around 8:20 p.m. on Route 11 when an SUV was traveling the wrong way on an on-ramp off-ramp. The police vehicle was severely damaged, as a result of which the police officer was trapped inside. The driver of the SUV fled the scene but was found in tall grass about 300 yards away. The suspect was not injured and the officer suffered minor injuries. The defendant is scheduled to appear in court on February 24, 2023.
