TMZ broke the story … prosecutors within the US Attorney’s Office had argued that house arrest would not be punishment because Nikki and Kenneth live in a luxurious multi-bedroom mansion in a gated community in Calabasas. They had recommended that Petty be sentenced to 15 months in prison and 5 years of probation, but the judge clearly disagreed with giving him that severe sentence. Petty was convicted of rape in 1994 in New York, where he served 4 years in prison. When he moved to Cali with Nikki, he didn’t register as a sex offender, and that’s when the feds busted him. Well, Nicki knows exactly where her husband will be for the next year. No need for a babysitter anymore.
