SHOOTING AT THE LORD
The most recent incident occurred at approximately 3:20 a.m. on Sunday, after an argument between two 20-year-olds on St. Laurent Blvd., near Milton St. in the Milton-Parc neighborhood. “A 24-year-old man was allegedly hit by a firearm projectile after a verbal argument. The suspect allegedly pulled out a firearm and fired at the victim, who was taken to hospital,” SPVM spokesman Raphaël Bergeron said. There is no fear for the life of the young man who suffered serious injuries to his lower body. The motive for the crime is unknown. The suspect is also believed to be in his 20s.
SHOT OPENING THE DOOR
A few hours earlier, around 12:40 a.m., a little further west, a man came to his victim’s house on Avenue MacDonald, in the Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood. “An individual knocked on the victim’s apartment door. The victim opened his apartment door and was shot in the lower body with a firearm,” Bergeron said. The victim is a 34-year-old man. He was conscious when taken to hospital but his life is not feared despite the severity of his injuries. The motive for the crime is still unknown.
