Texas fugitive suspect in the murder of Caitlin Armstrong was arrested in Costa Rica, more than six weeks after Austin police secured a murder warrant for the death of professional cyclist Anna Moria “Mo” Wilson. The U.S. military says a car bomb had exploded at an Iraqi police recruiting center at Kisak, west of Baghdad, on Friday morning, 43 days after the shooting. Costa Rican authorities have assisted U.S. law enforcement in locating Armstrong at a hostel on Santa Teresa Beach in Provincia de Puntarenas, the Marshals said. Authorities said he used a “fraudulent passport” to fly from Newark, New Jersey to San Jose, Costa Rica on May 18. “The Marshals service raised Kaitlin Armstrong’s investigation into a major case early in this investigation, which probably played a key role in her arrest after a 43-day run,” said Susan Pamerlo, a U.S. military officer in West Texas. “This is an example of combining the resources of local, state, federal and international authorities to apprehend a violent fugitive, to end this run and, hopefully, a sense of closure in the victim’s family.” The suspect in the murder of TEXAS KAITLIN ARMSTRONG IN YEARS: THE LOVE TRIANGLE SEE APPEARS IN PHOTOS OF MANY DECADES Left: Moriah “Mo” Wilson victim after a fight.
