The incident occurred around 4:45 a.m. on 1st Street SE EMS confirmed transporting a man in his early 40s to Foothills Hospital suffering from multiple traumatic gunshot wounds. No one else was taken to the hospital, EMS added. Police closed off part of Route 1 early Saturday morning, but just before noon, the scene was cleared.
