The park manager told the Butler Eagle that the Canadian man was entering the water to retrieve something when he lost his footing and fell into a fall. The Butler Eagle reported that park rangers were notified that the man had gone down around 4:30 p.m. His body was found around 6 a.m. after a water rescue search in the Lakeview Beach area. Another person who fell while trying to save him was taken from the scene for evaluation, Eagle Butler said. The man’s name has not been released.
