An empty warehouse in Los Angeles, California was engulfed in flames on Sunday night, with fires breaking out through the roof as firefighters struggled to contain the flames. More than 80 firefighters were called to extinguish the fire. 15-year-old boy charged with arson in Maryland barn fire The fire caused extensive structural damage to the interior of the warehouse, making access to the fire sites difficult with hoses. The Los Angeles Fire Department said in a statement that the fire had been upgraded to a “major emergency” late Sunday night. “The building is fully involved and the structural integrity of the building is beginning to collapse in at least one corner,” the fire department said in the statement. Traffic will be severely impacted in the area and drivers are asked to avoid the area. This will be an extensive operation,” the department continued. Firefighters were able to extinguish much of the fire in just over an hour, but fire crews continued to work to extinguish the blaze, Fox 11 reported.
