Surveillance video showed their bodies being dumped by three masked men driving a Toyota Prius without license plates.
It was not clear what prompted prosecutors to file murder charges against Pearce nearly eight months after their deaths.

Pearce, who has remained in jail since December on unrelated rape charges, was arrested by Los Angeles police in December, accused of sexually assaulting four women in 2010, 2019, February 2020 and October 2020 in crimes not connected to the deaths of Giles and Cabralez. – Lettuce.
