There was no need to pack a picnic as there were plenty of different food trucks on site to satisfy any craving one might have. To keep the kids entertained, there were mascots available to take photos with, the city set up a variety of bouncy obstacle courses and bouncy castles for kids to run around and enjoy. The Canadian Armed Forces were on site, with a troop transport vehicle to climb into and see, as well as showing people some of the different equipment they use, such as radar and rocket launchers. Festivities at Henderson Lake will continue for the rest of the day and then at 11 p.m. the Canada Day fireworks show will bring the event to a close.
