Kingston Fire and Rescue was called to the yard at 2753 Creekford Rd. at about 2:30 p.m., and Kingston Police joined them a few minutes later. Police asked drivers and pedestrians to avoid the area. Tony Rogers said employees were in the process of stripping and dismantling vehicles inside a 40-by-60-foot building. “It was definitely accidental, but I don’t have all the details of how it started,” Rogers told the Whig-Standard by phone. Rogers said the building is concrete but has wooden roof trusses.
