Marty Denham was outside his store when he heard a loud noise on Lorne West Avenue and saw one vehicle collide with another.
“I had my back to it, I turned around, it was probably a five meter and the whole car blew up behind them,” he said.
One of the vehicles was engulfed in flames almost instantly.
That’s when Denham saw a woman jump from the car to save herself.
“We thought we were seeing a person die because we thought the girl was the passenger.”
Denham said one of the people involved in the crash was Kathy Bieber, who is married to the pop star’s paternal grandfather.

“I was more concerned that they weren’t dead, because it was like a movie,” he explained.
“Luckily everyone made it,” said Taylor Tessier, another witness to the crash. “First aid was already being done on the spot.”
Tessier was working across the street at the time of the crash and heard emergency sirens from first responders.
She was surprised that no one seemed to be seriously injured.
“I made sure everyone was okay before I even bothered to take a picture or video of it, but I’m glad I got pictures and video because it was crazy,” Tessier said. “It’s not something you see every day.”

CTV News contacted the Stratford Police Department on Sunday. They did not respond to our request for comment or to our questions about whether criminal charges had been filed as of Tuesday.
Justin Bieber started his singing career on the steps of the Avon Theater in Stratford and has since become one of the biggest pop stars in the world.
