Bobert, a controversial conservative new member of Congress, had the backing of former President Donald Trump. Trump looked big in the race to be Colorado’s top election official. Incumbent Democrat Jena Griswold has no opposition to her primary. CBS News has predicted that Pam Anderson will win the Republican nomination for Secretary of State in Colorado. Anderson had faced two Republican challengers: Mike O’Donnell and Tina Peters. When asked by the Colorado Sun if the 2020 election “stole” one of the candidates, Peters said yes. “This is a personal opinion based on the evidence I have seen and passed and based on what I know from our reports. I believe there may have been a lot of fraud that led to the reversal of the election,” he told the newspaper. She was also barred by a judge from overseeing the 2022 elections in Mesa County, in part because of the violation, One of her opponents, Mike O’Donnell, told the Colorado Sun she could not “say yes or no” when asked if the 2020 election had been stolen. Anderson, a former Jefferson County clerk and registrar and former executive director of the Colorado County Employees Union, was the only GOP candidate to say no. In Illinois, redistribution has created a number of established races against established ones. CBS News spokesman Sean Kasten will win the Democratic nomination by defeating a primary challenge from MP Marie Newman. Casten’s 17-year-old daughter died earlier this month. In a concession speech, Newman urged the party to rally. In the 15th District of Illinois, CBS News predicted that MP Mary Miller won the Republican nomination for the House seat. He had the race to support Trump against another incumbent, MP Rodney Davis. Davis, who was one of the Republicans who voted to set up a commission to investigate the Jan. 6 attack. Over the weekend, Miller told a rally – framed by Trump – that the decision to oust Ro was a “victory for white lives by the Supreme Court.” The campaign said it misunderstood the prepared remarks. Davis gave Miller Tuesday night, saying he was looking forward to “campaigning with every Republican up and down the ticket to Illinois from now until November to make sure we get our state back and Congress back.” Co-chair of Trump’s 2020 campaign, Davis congratulated Trump and Miller on their victory. He was also one of the Republicans who worked to set up an independent committee to investigate the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol, although that committee was later abandoned and the Democrats set up a select committee. In the Republican primary, CBS News predicted that Illinois Darren Bailey defeated Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin, who was financed $ 50 million by GOP magnate Ken Griffin. Griffin said he would not support the Republican nominee if it were not for Irwin, and criticized the Democrats for their foreign spending on Bailey. “The unprecedented tens of millions of dollars spent by Pritzker and the National Democrats in the Republican primary to avoid confronting Richard in the general election have shown that he was the right candidate,” Griffin said in a statement. Irwin said he hoped Pritzker “is wrong in his assessment that he can easily beat an opponent who paid tens of millions of dollars to face him.”

Mike Lee, one of Trump’s closest allies, defeated two key challengers, former state MP Becky Edwards and businessman Ali Isom. Neither of them voted for Trump, according to the Associated Press. Lee will face independent Conservative Evan McMullin in November. The Democratic Party of Utah has backed McMalin, a longtime critic of Trump, instead of nominating his own candidate.
Republican Mike Flood wins the special election for the House of Representatives in the 1st District of the Nebraska Congress. Flood will serve the remainder of Jeff Fortenberry’s term. Fortenberry was sentenced on Tuesday to a two-year suspension for lying to federal authorities about illegally contributing to the campaign.
Flood defeated Democratic Patty Pansing Brooks in the special election. Both candidates won their respective qualifiers to run for a full term and will face each other in a rematch in November.
