Watch below the first official teaser trailer of Hocus Pocus 2! The teaser takes us back to Salem, Massachusetts to introduce a new cast of characters who end up resurrecting the Sanderson sisters, who have been waiting all these years. “Lock your children!” Salem, we are back! ” the sisters announce the end of this first teaser of Hocus Pocus 2, which also teases the return of Billy Butcherson and of course, a black cat. The film is described as “the eerie sequel to the 1993 classic Halloween”, with Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy returning as Sisters Sanderson favorites. “It has been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame candle and resurrected the 17th century sisters who were executed for practicing magic and seeking revenge. “It is now up to three high school students to figure out how to stop the raging witches from wreaking havoc in Salem before midnight on the eve of All the World.” Anne Fletcher (The Guilt Trip) is directing the film and the cast also includes Doug Jones as Billy Butcherson, a fan favorite from the 1993 original film. With them are Whitney Peak (“Gossip Girl”, “Molly’s Game”) as Becca, Lilia Buckingham (“Dirt”, “Crown Lake”) as Cassie and Belissa Escobedo (“American Horror Stories”, “The Baker and the Beauty “”) as Izzy, three young women in today’s Salem who provoke the wrath of the three witches. Sam Richardson (Werewolves Within) will also star. “Arrested Development” lover Tony Hale and “Ted Lasso” actress Hannah Waddingham also have both roles with Froy Gutierrez, Juju Brener, Taylor Paige Henderson and Nina Kitchen. The 1993 film directed by Kenny Ortega stars Omri Katz as a strange young man who moves to Salem, Massachusetts, where he struggles to fit in before awakening a trio of devilish witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy) who were executed in century. The film also stars Thora Birch, who unfortunately will not return for the sequel. Jen D’Angelo (“Workaholics”) wrote the sequel.
