The politician who guided Newfoundland and Labrador through two and a half of the most difficult years in our history is moving into a new role. Prime Minister Andrew Furey has announced some major changes to the health and education portfolios in his cabinet. With immediate effect, Tom Osborne will take over as Health and Community Services Secretary, while John Hagee will move to Education. Both ministers were sworn into their new posts at Government House earlier today. Osborne previously served as health secretary in the Danny Williams government. Hagi, meanwhile, had served as health minister since he was first elected and this will be his first venture into the education office.
