miHoYo Genshin Impact has just completed its special v2.8 reveal stream, back on schedule with its continued releases after forced delays earlier due to the COVID lockdowns. We’re moving towards update 3.0 of the game with the new Sumeru continent, but until then, we still have two more updates. And v2.8 turns out to be a bit lighter than most. However, the stream gave away three gift codes for Primogems and other goodies, as it always does, and that’s probably the main reason you’re here. They are:

These must be redeemed by the end of the day tomorrow, so get on with it. And yes, the side reward is all Mystic Ore for some reason this time, not sure why that is. As for the character banners for version 2.8, we only have one new character this time and it’s only four stars. We do however have the return of a highly sought after 5 star, Kazuha, who is also the main character of the 2.8 story content it seems. ADVERTISING The banners will be:

The full “story” for 2.8 is called Summer Fantasia and will contain the usual number of different types of events we get for new patches. Among them will be Summertime Odyssey, Resonating Visions, Reminiscent Regimen, Hidden Strife, Evermotion Mechanical Painting and most importantly a new outfit for Diluc where he has a high ponytail. And Fischl has one too. Whatever. Dawn Hoyoverse ADVERTISING Anyway, this shouldn’t be the biggest patch in the world, nor does it look like the set of banners you’ll blow every Primogem you wear, unless you die for Kazuha which you don’t have yet, or you need to get more constellation ranks on of. I think most people are probably starting to save up for 3.0 and all the new Sumeru Dendro characters at this point, and that reveal should happen in the next couple of months here, before what looks like a fall release for her the area.
