Fortnite’s latest map was quickly devoured by the Chrome hacker in a short cutscene last night. The Herald led Chrome, and despite Fortnite, the heroes made their last stand against him and took him down, which caused him to return supersized, Chrome devouring the island along with The Herald making the island unstable and eventually disintegrating. This was followed by a 30-minute event mode where players were tasked with rebuilding the island from scratch with a mix of familiar and fresh new locations set to appear in the New Chapter. At the end of the event, another scene was shown where Paradigm succeeds in their mission to piece together the island, as the game’s Zero Point joins the pieces of the landscape together. The second half of the trailer features characters believed to appear in Chapter 4, such as Geralt from The Witcher, Hulk, YouTuber Mr. Beast, Doomslayer and another All Might themed Pickaxe item from My Hero Academia.
