Steve Kuchera / Duluth News Tribune Duluth Entertainment Convention Center staff is postponing the planned “Festival Fourth” at Bayfront Festival Park to Friday, July 8th. Meanwhile, senior city administrators have postponed the rest of their downtown celebration to a yet-to-be-announced date. Staff at the National Weather Service office in Duluth are forecasting light to moderate showers across the region Monday afternoon, including isolated or scattered showers and thunderstorms between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., according to meteorologist Ketzel Levens. Rain chances drop to about 50% between 7 and 9 p.m. before falling dramatically after that. Even if it doesn’t rain, however, Levens said, weather service personnel are still predicting a foggy, windy evening.
