The RNC believes it has located the getaway vehicle used to take out an ATM on Newfoundland Drive over the weekend. Police arrived at the BMO on Coleman’s lot around 5am on Sunday, but the suspect jumped into a car and took off, heading north on Torbay Road. Officers abandoned the pursuit as the individual was driving erratically, however they later located the vehicle believed to have been used. The backhoe used to gain access to the bank was left running in the bank parking lot. The RNC has not yet arrested anyone in connection with the incident. This is the second time an excavator has been used on this bank. Another heavy machinery robbery last night, this time at the BMO on Newfoundland Drive. It appears that a loader was used to break into the ATM machine. @VOCMNEWS pic.twitter.com/ADfj4dv6k8 — Richard Duggan (@RDugganVOCM) January 19, 2019
