“[Giuliani] “He falsely reported a crime and the DA should take it seriously,” Hizoner said during an appearance on The Daily Show on Tuesday night, where he mocked and despised Giuliani in the ongoing feud between the two.
“You do not understand. “You just attacked me,” Adams said as host Trevor Noah hugged him as he entered – a clear excavation of the former mayor.
Giuliani was chatting with locals after returning from the men’s room at the Staten Island ShopRite on Sunday, when Daniel Gill, a store employee, approached him and slapped him on the back, according to video of the incident. The former two-term mayor and Donald Trump legal adviser was looking at his son, Andrew, who was running in the Republican primary for governor.
Gill, 39, was initially charged with second-degree assault in the incident – although the charges were reduced to harassment and third-degree harassment. Giuliani said he felt “someone shot me” when Gill hit him in the back from behind, and video surveillance showed a brief, non-violent meeting.

“This person who falsely reported spent 24 hours in jail. “This is unacceptable,” Adams said, continuing his criticism of the man who was hailed as “America’s mayor” for the first time earlier on Tuesday after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Adams then referred to the case of Amy Cooper – “Karen” in Central Park, which sparked international outrage in 2020 when she called police to a black bird watcher who asked her to restrain her dog. She falsely claimed on a second call to 911 that he had tried to attack her.
“I will call the DA. We must be consistent. “If this tape did not exist, imagine what would have happened to this man,” said the mayor.
Daniel Gill was arrested and initially charged with second-degree assault, but those charges have since been downgraded.
Giuliani, in response, got rid of Adams.
“I never submitted the report to the police, unlike the false mayor who has more crimes [Bill] de Blazio. “There were five witnesses,” said Giuliani.
“That’s why he behaves like a vicious child. “Instead of attacking the elderly, he should prevent crimes against the elderly,” the 78-year-old added.
Giuliani countered Adams’ claims that the former governor should be prosecuted. Facebook
“This guy is lost. “When you have a crime higher than de Blasio, you have to give up.”
Giuliani said he had four conversations with McMahon’s office, none to investigate. He said prosecutors should file charges against police officers for any false allegations – and that is not the case.
Adams rallied further during the success of the “Daily Show”, saying that Giuliani has other problems with his role of advising Trump during the January 6, 2021 uprising in the US Capitol building.

“What’s interesting is that when you saw this testimony in Washington, there are other things he has to deal with as well,” Adams said before continuing to beat Giuliani at a rally Wednesday morning.
“Because of his report to the police station, one person went to jail for 24 hours,” the mayor said. “This person’s life changed because – as we have all seen, a blow to the back – it was not a punch to the head, it did not hit anyone on the ground.”
“I think the DA should look into it and determine what the end result is.”
