The Thompson-Okanagan will remain under a ridge of high pressure that will keep temperatures well below freezing for much of the week. “Additionally, we have a deep system over central Canada that drops into the Prairies and that also just brings a modified arctic air mass through BC that keeps our temperatures below seasonal and conditions cool,” said Ken Dosanjh, Environment. Canadian meteorologist. Dosanj says by the end of the working week temperatures will rise to near normal for this time of year. “We’re seeing lows in the minus single digits and the high for the day is near zero, maybe a little bit lower,” he added. On Monday the temperature will be -8 degrees Celsius with mainly cloudy spells with a low temperature of -11 degrees overnight. On Tuesday it should reach a high of -7C with a chance of turbulence. Wednesday will see mixed sun and clouds with a high of -6 C. The overnight low will reach -8 degrees with a chance of a thunderstorm. On Thursday there will be snowfall with a higher temperature of -3 degrees Celsius. Both Friday and Saturday should rise to -1 C with a chance of flurries.
