After a nervous start, the Lionesses quickly gained confidence and broke the deadlock before 20 minutes. Mead, who had a fantastic first half, opened the scoring in fine style after a fantastic pass from Kirby. Kirby and Stanway run the midfield while Hemp has been excellent on the wings. Bright and Bronze run the defense while doing a great job of shutting out Austria. Earps hasn’t had much to do so far. But England could arguably have been a bit more clinical in front of goal to gain a more comfortable advantage.
