A flat on the 15th floor of a tower block in St Mark’s Square, Bromley is on fire as well as part of the roof, London Fire Brigade (LFB) said. The cause of the fire is unknown. Footage posted on social media showed flames and black smoke coming from part of a sloping roof. Station Commander Colin Digby, at the scene, said: “Crews are making steady progress. This will be a protracted incident and we expect our crews to be on scene for several hours.” Firefighters were called shortly before noon and remain at the scene.
