Doncaster Royal Infirmary was sealed off by police. Police were called at around 3.14am this morning to reports that a man had been stabbed in Silver Street. The victim, a 20-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in stable condition. Two arrests were made for the incident. A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 21-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They remain in police custody. Silver Street remains closed while investigations continue. Other roads that were closed earlier have now reopened. A small section of Wood Street was also sealed off by police, with a car guarding the scene where a large piece of a broken door could be seen through the cordon. A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Inquiries into the incident are ongoing. Anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident number 105 of July 6.”
