A man is in hospital with serious stab wounds and a man and a woman have been arrested after violence broke out in Silver Street in the early hours of this morning. Police are investigating dozens of stabbings, shootings, rapes, sexual assaults and many other violent incidents.

Another posted: “Don’t ever go to Doncaster again – it’s not safe such a shame, it used to be a great town.” “It’s just a hangout for drunks, push bike drug dealers and addicts,” wrote another. “Pubs in the city center should all be closed during the day from Monday to Friday. “There’s no need for people in the city to be drinking at those hours. It just drags the business and commercial environment down.” Another wrote: “What is wrong with people, how many stabbings last month in Doncaster? It’s getting scary.” “In America it’s guns and here it’s knives,” shared another. “Civilization goes backwards and all roads lead straight to Westminster. “Every community in this country is grossly let down and has people killing each other in the process. It is not safe!” “Donnie’s is a scary place,” added another, while another said: “It’s really scary how many people get stabbed.” Police were called at around 3.14am this morning to reports that a man had been stabbed in Silver Street. The victim, a 20-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in stable condition. A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said two arrests had been made in connection with the incident. The statement said: “A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 21-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They remain in police custody at this time.
