“I signed up to do a very different version of the movie we ended up doing,” Johnson said. “[E.L. James] he had a lot of creative control, all day, every day, and he just wanted certain things to happen. There were parts of the books that just wouldn’t work in a movie, like the inside monologue, which were sometimes incredibly cheesy. It would not work to say loudly. It has always been a battle. Always. When I auditioned for that movie, I read a monologue from “Persona” and said, “Oh, this is going to be really special.” Johnson said the creation of the “Fifty Shades” trilogy “went crazy”, adding, “There were a lot of different disagreements. “I was never able to talk about it honestly, because you want to promote a film the right way, and I’m proud of what we did in the end and everything went well, but it was difficult.” “It simply came to our notice then [James] “He wanted to do it and then we would do the filming we wanted to do,” Johnson continued. “Last night, I would rewrite scenes with the old dialogue to add a line here and there. It was like chaos all the time. “ Even with the behind-the-scenes battles, Johnson has no regrets or bad moods about James or the franchise that made her famous. “If I had known at the time that it would be so, I do not think anyone would have done it,” Johnson said. It would be like, “Oh, this is psychotic.” But no, I do not regret it… There are things I still can not say because I do not want to hurt anyone’s career and I do not want to hurt anyone’s reputation, but both Jamie [Dornan] and they treated me very well. [James] “She is a very nice woman and she has always been kind to me and I am grateful she wanted me to be in these movies.” “Look, it was great for our career,” Johnson concluded. “So amazing.
