The married father of two died on November 17, 2017 after sustaining serious injuries while working on a construction site in Oakville.
The inquest, which is mandatory under the Coroners Act and will be held via video conference, will start on Monday 25 July from 9.30am.
It is expected to last four days and around seven witnesses will be heard.
Bonnie Goldberg will be the presiding officer, while Jai Dhar will be the investigator.
“The purpose of the investigation is to examine the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr. Soares.  “Once all parties have had an opportunity to present their information and ask questions of witnesses, the jury can make recommendations aimed at preventing future deaths in similar circumstances,” the Department of Solicitor General said in a July 6 statement. .
