The talks between the clubs are believed to be at a point where Chelsea have verbally stated that they are ready to pay a price north of 55 55 million, which Leeds is believed to have accepted. It will then depend on Raphinha’s preference, with Chelsea being said to be in pole position to secure the international Brazilian as things stand. This is due to the fact that Barcelona – which has long been expected to join this summer – is not currently in a financial position to make a deal and Arsenal has not yet reached the level where Chelsea is. Rafinha has enjoyed two good seasons since moving to Leeds, scoring 17 goals in the Premier League in 65 first-team appearances. His current contract in Leeds expires in 2024.
