Two people in Washington, DC were killed when a truck crashed into a fireworks stand on Saturday. The accident happened on Saturday afternoon around 5:30 pm. near Nannie Helen Burroughs Ave Northeast and Minnesota Avenue when the driver of a pickup truck ran a red light and struck a bicyclist in a crosswalk. After hitting the bicyclist, the driver went off the road and then crashed into a fireworks stand, police said. The bicyclist and the person behind the fireworks stand, both men, were pronounced dead, police said.
