Around 8:15 am on Wednesday, Gray Bruce OPP, Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation Police, Saugeen Shores Fire Department, Sauble Beach Fire Department, Gray County Paramedic Services and Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC) Trenton all responded to reports of a man that entered the water and does not come out. Shortly before 10 a.m. on the same day, a person was removed from the lake and rescue efforts were unsuccessful. The person was pronounced dead at the scene The victim has been identified as 50-year-old Robert Klingbeil of Burlington. The OPP says they are continuing the investigation with the assistance of the Western District Traffic Management and Enforcement Team.
