(Photo courtesy of Elections NL.) Chief Electoral Officer and Commissioner for Legislative Standards Bruce Chaulk has been suspended. The provincial government today accepted the recommendation of the House Parliamentary Management Committee to suspend Chaulk due to allegations made in Elections NL. The suspension is valid until the completion of the independent examination of the findings of the Citizens’ representative. Election Assistant Managing Director Travis Woolley will serve as executive director of elections. Ann Chafe, who recently retired from her role as Commissioner of the Public Services Committee, will serve as Deputy Commissioner for Legislative Standards.
